In general, work on offshore installations significant differs in nature from onshore installations. In a technical sense installations may be indeed similar, where issues such as security and logistics have entirely different characteristics. The most commonly used energy plants onshore are Bioenergy plants, Earth Energy, Solar energy and conventional power plants such as coal and nuclear plants. In addition, there is an increasing focus on onshore wind power.
